'Whatever you do, do it well'

about us

Dove Holes C of E Primary School is situated in the Peak District National Park. We are a well maintained school that enjoys strong strong links with the adjoining Church. We have access to a field and a woodland area behind school. The school is located 10 minutes from Buxton and there is a strong working village community which is supportive of the school.
Governors accept pupils who live within the Church Parish, mainly the village, then outlying hamlets and occasionally pupils from further afield. Although we are a small school, we work and learn as part of a Federation of schools. For our staff this means they have access to peer-to-peer support and enhanced training and development opportunities. For our children, they get to meet other children , enjoy school trips together and compete in various cross curricular, sporting events and co-curricular events.
We are proud of our distinctly Christian Ethos. Our values underpin all that we do in school. The motto of the Federation 'What ever you do, do it well' underpins our inclusive Christian vision and our ambition for all pupils and staff to excel beyond expectation.
We hope that you find the information useful on our website. If you would like to arrange a visit, please do get in touch to see for yourself why we are so proud of our school.

We have one school vision:
We live life in all its fullness
When Jesus spoke the words: ‘I have come to bring life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10) to his disciples; he had a vision for them that went beyond what they could see at that moment in time.
At Dove Holes C of E Primary School, we have that vision for all of our children. We want every lesson, every experience and every day in our school, to expose our children to an education without limits – full of the joy and abundance of life.
Our vision extends beyond the school gates, where we hope to see our community touched by the values lived by our pupils. We believe that in walking through life together we can flourish together, creating the best opportunities and outcomes for all.
This vision underpins everything that we do at our school. We believe that our Christian distinctiveness enhances our care and aspiration for every individual child, drives our goals for success and enables us to teach our children how to live well. We live out this vision through our school values...
We are restless to be the best we can be. Please take a look at our Parent Friendly School Improvement Plan.
